To Whom It May Concern:
Legend Entertainment began offering customer support for our computer games via 900 number access in November, 1990. However, by the close of 1993 we became dissatisfied with both our carrier and service bureau provider.
We decided to search for a new carrier and service bureau. During that search, our company was introduced to the Telecompute Corporation by a representative from the AT&T MultiQuest 900 product division. Based upon AT&T’s reputation and the strength of their recommendation of Telecompute, we made the switch in April, 1994.
The improvements made in the last year have justified our initial faith in AT&T and Telecompute. In mid-year, we made an independent study of the costs associated with 900 program delivery. We found that the total net costs of providing the service through Telecompute and AT&T were actually less than if we ordered the service ourselves – and we got the necessary hardware, software, and maintenance thrown in to boot. Also, Telecompute has a discount plan that ensures our savings go up as the popularity of our help line increases.
The advantages go beyond the cost savings. The personnel at Telecompute have worked as closely as possible with our personnel to ensure that new programs get loaded as quickly and efficiently as possible. During our rush to get our latest game, Death Gate, to market for the 1994 Christmas selling season, Telecompute personnel worked overtime at no extra charge to get the help line installed. Their responsiveness went so far as troubleshooting and solving a problem with the material furnished for the help line recording on Christmas Eve.
Telecompute also takes a direct interest in our success, performing detailed analysis, at no charge, to help us improve our service and our business. They have made suggestions to help us introduce customer service in new markets (Canadian 900) and to develop new distribution channels for existing products (900 Software Distribution).
Using Telecompute Corporation for inbound 900 service has become an effective and efficient element in our customer support program.
Sincerely yours,
LEGEND ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY
